Goody Bags

Each member is to bring to the November meeting two goody bags to be given to the new teachers in our area. 

Some suggestions for the goody bags are as follows:

  Personal note

  Hand sanitizer

  Chapstick

  Granola bar

  Lotion

  Pen/note pad

  Marker board

     markers

  Candy such as

     TicTacs

Recruitment Grants

Each year Beta Beta presents recruitment grants to two women enrolled in  a teacher preparation program.  Each grant is $650 and is sent to the college in which the student is enrolled.  Those receiving the grants are recognized at the April meeting.

Literacy

Inspired by the Books for Babies project, Beta Beta Chapter  collects books and the books are taken to facilities for use by parents and children.

One of the goals of Beta Beta and Delta Kappa Gamma International advocates educational excellence through its projects and activities which enhance the quality of community life. 

Books are collected for distribution in our communities.

Melanie Frye asks that books will be collected at the October meeting and will be distributed to the appropriate facilities in the service area.

Each member is to bring two (or more) books to the next meeting which will be October 28.
