Mrs. Peterson was a charter member of Eta Chapter in 1936 where she served in various offices.

She was co-author of several sets of reading materials. Her research project and writing of the life story of Frances E. Willard in 1939 culminated in the acceptance of the figurine of Miss Willard, presented by Eta Chapter, now included in the permanent exhibit at International Headquarters.
