Our
History
The
International Room of the Student Union
on the campus of
Louisiana
State University
was the setting for the installation of
the Beta Tau
Chapter
of
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International
on July 26, 1977.
Beta Tau
was the 67th
chapter in Louisiana.
Mrs. Ethelyn Gebrowsky,
Epsilon State President
came from New Orleans to install the chapter.
Other
special
guests in
attendance were
Miss Ellen LeNoir, State Founder
of Epsilon State in 1929,
Mrs. Joanna Pruitt, Louisiana State Executive Secretary,
Mrs. Laura Chauvin, Southeast
District Director,
and Mrs. Elmer Montgomery, Louisiana State Treasurer.
Mrs. Ben Peabody, Former Chairman for Expansion
of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International
was
instrumental in the preparation and formation
of the Beta Tau Chapter.
Mrs. Peabody was assisted by the local chapter
presidents in Baton Rouge.
