The 2002-2006 Program Theme is "Empowerment for Excellence."

Program Resource Guide

The Program Resource Guide assists with designing and implementing chapter programs. Chapters need to make decisions about programs that best suit their needs.The International Program Committee suggests planning programs in one of the following four categories:

¥ Professional growth
¥ Personal growth
¥ Society (mission, purposes, products, and services)
¥ Fellowship among members

New Program of Work Resources

"Programs, Projects, Profiles" is the booklet distributed at June 2004 Officers Leadership/Training. It contains detailed information about Epsilon State chapter programs/projects.

"International Ideas for Chapter Programs" is a booklet to be distributed to chapters at district meetings contains descriptions of 75 of the best chapter programs discussed at the recent international convention.

"Mentoring Matters" is a 43-page packet of ideas developed by the International Professional Affairs Committee. It was introduced at the convention in Minneapolis and will be available soon from the International website.

"www.deltakappagamma.org"is the International Website which provides frequently updated ideas for programs/projects. Visit the site often to stay informed.

Ceremonies

Ceremonies include initiations, installations, recommitment, award, and necrology where the chapters honor members and community leaders who support education.

Program Hints

It is suggested that programs be at least an hour in length, including questions and answers.  The leaders should include an introduction and conclusion that preview and review the purpose or goal for the program. The guide encourages chapters to use a variety of presentation methods.
