We have 120 members meeting six times a year in various restaurants. Our emphasis is on member participation and grants to teachers in training. We serve the communities of Mahtomedi, Maplewood, North St. Paul, Oakdale, Stillwater, White Bear Lake. Our chapter is filled with talented, women educators. We support a local women and children's shelter by purchasing school supplies, serving meals, and regularly contributing to their financial and material needs. This chapter is proud of the leadership its members have shown including that of Past Tau State President Robbie Johnson. |

Our chapter contributes thousands of hours volunteering our time with such things as Guardian ad Litem, Sojourner, MN Landscape Arboretum, State Parks, church activities, classroom volunteers, books for the blind, election day, Historical Society, and various activities with the elderly. |

Our programs are initiated by "The Reflective Women." Its four units are 1) Composing a Life, 2) Experiencing Beauty, 3) Searching for Truths, and 4) Engaging Communities. We find this method stimulating and enjoyable - a mark of success! |

We serve the communities of Andover, Anoka, Blaine, Champlin, and Coon Rapids. We are a very active chapter. In each of the past ten years, through our fundraising efforts and memorial bequests honoring former teachers, we gave two or three scholarships to young women entering college to become teachers. This year, in addition to hearing speakers and visiting community resources, we plan to continue to offer scholarships to future women educators. |
