December 4, 2014 Gamma Chi President Debra Clayton (right) gave special recognition to her mother, Treasurer Shirley White, for the outstanding job she does as our treasurer especially with collecting the dues and filing the Dues Report in such a timely manner.
November 17, 2014 Members of Gamma Chi Chapter presented goodie bags to the new teachers at Northside Elementary School. Pictured from the left are: Sherreka Turner, Lina Hernandez, Kerry Murphy, Reenada Perez, Christina Allman, Jacquell Sneed-Adams, Samantha Bauer, Kareem Martin, and Melissa Smith. Goodie bags were presented to the new teachers in other Warren County Schools too. Distribution took place during the American Education Week, November 17-21.
November 17, 2014 Gamma Chi members from the Beginning Teacher Support Committee met at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Parish House in Warrenton to assemble goodie bags to welcome the new teachers of Warren County. Forty-two bags for new teachers and five bags for new principals were filled with many useful items and snacks brought by members to the October meeting. SurveyMonkey was used to coordinate the items needed for the bags. Also included was a bookmark and a brochure about the DKG and Gamma Chi. Committee members preparing bags are, from left to right: Mary Austell, Ann Kilian, Mary Brodie Raiford, Nancy Tunstall and Jeffrey Evans.
November 10, 2014 President Debra Clayton, right, accepts the certificate from School Board Chairman Calvin Jones on behalf of Gamma Chi Chapter in recognition for our work with the beginning teachers of Warren County. Each year we prepare goodie bags for all new teachers in Warren County and deliver them during American Education Week in November.
