November 1, 2018 - Gamma Chi Chapter members (from left) Betsy Clark, Ginny Bernard, Sheila Robertson and Beginning Teacher Support Chair Norma Retzlaff met at Mariam Boyd Elementary School in Warrenton to assemble goodie bags to welcome the new teachers of Warren County. Thirty-nine bags for new teachers were filled with many useful items and snacks brought by members to their last meeting. Also included was a brochure about Gamma Chi and DKG.

October 4, 2018 - President Evelyn Hall (left) presented Diane Colin with a long stem red rose and recognized her on her retirement. Colin was a second grade teacher at Vaughan Elementary School. Also recognized but not present was Donna Liles. She recently retired as a Special Education Specialist for Warren County Schools.
 
October 4, 2018 - The following members were recognized for member excellence. To achieve this honor, members had to complete activities listed on a form during the past year that measured their attendance, participation in projects, financial contributions, networking and lifelong learning. Dr. Sylvia Alston, Awards Committee chair, made the presentation of certificates and pins. October 4, 2018 - Dr. Sylvia Alston, Awards Committee chair (right) made the following presentations:. Mary Catherine Harris (left) received the Gamma Chi Golden Key Award. The Golden Key Award honors members who have made significant contributions to The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International at various levels of the Society. Evelyn Hall (second from right) was honored with the Gamma Chi Rising Star Award for her strong potential for successful leadership at the chapter and state levels and beyond. Also recognized was Betsy Clark (second from left) as Rookie of the Year for the leadership roles that she has assumed.
