May 15, 2025 - Nancy Blankenship $1,000 Grants-in-Aid presentation: from left to right, Scholarship Chair Betsy Clark, presenter Elaine Blankenship, recipient Macie Fleming, recipient Tiffany Frank, and presenter Richard Blankenship. Fleming is a graduate of Warren Early College where she also received her associate degree from Vance-Granville Community College. She plans to attend East Carolina University to pursue double majors in psychology and elementary education. Frank is a teacher assistant at Mariam Boyd Elementary School. She is attending North Carolina Central University and plans to pursue a career as an elementary teacher or a school psychologist. Nancy Blankenship was a charter member of the Gamma Chi Chapter before her death in 2010. These awards are made possible by the Blankenship family in memory of their mother. | |

Council and Colin are members of Gamma Chi Chapter who used the grants to help defray the cost as they represented the chapter at the NC DKG State Convention. Each year Myrick makes and donates a crocheted afghan for the members to raffle in order to raise money for the Gamma Chi Scholarship Fund. She is an honorary member of the Gamma Chi Chapter. | |
