September 3, 2026 - Fourteen members were recognized for Member Excellence. To achieve this honor, members had to complete activities listed on a form during the past year that measured their attendance, participation in projects, financial contributions, networking and lifelong learning. Dr. Sylvia Alston, Awards Committee chair, presented the following members with certificates and pins. September 3, 2026 - Awards Committee Chair Dr. Sylvia Alston, right, presented the 2026 Gamma Chi Golden Key Award to Danylu Hundley. The Golden Key Award is intended to recognize key women educators who work in the background getting things done without personal glory or gain for herself, and one who is dedicated to fulfilling the purposes of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG).

 
September 3, 2026 - Awards Committee Chair Dr. Sylvia Alston, right, presented the 2026 Gamma Chi Rising Star Award to Earlene Clanton. The Rising Star Award is intended to recognize and encourage key women educators with six or less years of membership in DKG. These members demonstrate exceptional growth in education, leadership, and contributions consistent with DKG’s vision and purposes. They reflect strong potential for successful leadership at the chapter level and beyond.

April 17, 2026 - There was a mountain of bears donated by NC DKG members from around the state for the convention project to support local Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Police Departments and other organizations to distribute to children who experience a crisis or trama situation.
