April 29, 2022 - The Friday night opening meeting got off to a delightful start as The Bailey Mountain Cloggers Folk Dance Company from Mars Hill College performed. They recently received their 29th National Championship. They travel the globe to share their Southern folk dance and Appalachian mountain music.

April 29, 2022 - Friday night was Awards Night. Gamma Chi's first award was the Communications Excellence Awart given for accomplishments in producing a quality newsletter, maintaining an updated website, producing a chapter brochure and using social media to greatly enhance chapter communications.

April 29, 2022 - In recognition of exemplary leadership in promoting chapter participation in the activities of the Society, Gamma Chi Chapter received the Superior Chapter Achievement Award—the highest level of chapter achievement.

April 29, 2022 - Gamma Chi member, Dr. Sylvia Alston (right) received the Golden Key pin and certificate for Region III (Warren, Vance, Wake, Johnston and Franklin Counties). The award is given to honor members who have made significant contributions to DKG at various levels of the society.

April 29, - Betsy Clark received the Rising Star Award. She was one of 11 members from around the state to receive this honor. The NC DKG Rising Star Award is intended to recognize and encourage key women educators in their early years of active membership in NC DKG. She received a certificate and a unique rising star pin.

April 30, 2022 - At the banquet, the keynote speech was given by NC DKG President Becky Sadowski. The speech was entitled "Guided by Purpose, Leading by Example."
