The professional educators of Nu Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International welcome you! Nu Chapter is located in District X of ETA State, the North Carolina State Organization for Delta Kappa Gamma. Our chapter includes educators from Hickory, Newton, and Conover located in the beautiful Catawba Valley at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. |

Nu Chapter
was formed on May 12, 1949. Nu currently
has over 60 members. We support educational endeavors in the three school
systems in our area as well as Catawba Valley Community College and Lenoir
Rhyne College. Proceeds from our annual Fall Fashion Extravaganza are used
for literacy and numeracy grants to area teachers, scholarships, support of
adult literacy programs at the community college and preschool literacy
through the Parents as Teachers program. We are also very actively involved
in the area Relay for Life.
