Make-It-and-Take-It Session

Writing Your Memoirs

Mary Knowland-Palmer knows that each of us has a long life full of stories that need to be told. What better way to connect with our selves, our students, and our families than to share what we have learned and experienced. Mary grew up on one of America ’s last homesteads in the Klamath and Tule Lake Basins . Most of her teaching years were spent in small schools, but don’t let that fool you. She is up on the latest research, the best teaching practices, and favorite books for all ages. Mary currently works for the Southern Oregon ESD as a Writing Specialist and is a Co-director for the Oregon Writing Project at SOU.

How to Start Your Genealogy Project
