Small groups met during February. Here are two groups having lunch at Libro inside Novel. Lots of laughs and visiting occurred. It was a great get together.

January 2024

Xi State Vision Foundation grant funds at work!! Alpha Lambda chapter members enjoyed attending an evening of Japanese story telling featuring Motoko, a professional storyteller. Motoka visited Christ Methodist Day School for a 3 day event, funded by the Xi State Vision Foundation. Alpha Lambda member and CMDS Librarian, Debi Gray, received the award for her proposal submitted to the Vision Foundation.

Several Alpha Lambda chapter members members gathered for card making lessons and dinner. Members attending made 3 Christmas cards.

Alpha Lambda special event at Theater Memphis to see A Christmas Carol, Nov. 29. After the play, members went to lunch at Olive Garden

On Thursday, March 23, 2023: Members learned all about keeping healthy with Wayne Gutch from the University of Memphis speaking about Wellness

February 2023
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023: What a time was had by the members of Alpha Lambda Chapter - DKG. In honor of February & Women s Heart Health Month members wore red to our monthly meeting. The meeting started with guest speaker- cardiologist Dr. Lisa Young, (relative of co-president Tanya Dolman) where she gave advice about taking care of your heart and staying healthy. Later after the short meeting members enjoyed food & fellowship with a valentines theme. And lastly, members prepared goody/happy bags for the students at DeNeuville Learning Center for our monthly service project. All items were donated by members. Over 100 bags were made. What a great time and day to be a member of DKG - Alpha Lambda Chapter.


December 2022
Alpha Lambda Chapter of DGK held our December gathering and special project event. We had a cookie/candy/snack exchange & lunch dressed in our festive Christmas clothes at the home of Martha Bailey & Mary Jo Wilson (chapter members). There was a special visit from Santa Clause . For our Alpha Lambda Cares Project members were asked to bring children books that would be donated to Porter Leath/Head Start. We had a great time and the food & fellowship was amazing. Happy Holidays from Alpha Lambda to All .

October 2022
Alpha Lambda had a session to practice for a card making session. Those attending included Dr. LeCharle Harris, Angela Wright, Beth Pitt, Becky Cooper, Carolyn Taylor and Janice Sorsby. The session was lead by Martha Bailey and Dr. Linda Eller

June 2022
Our own Becky Sadowski, International President, gave the keynote address at the TNSO convention held at the University of the South. We returned after 3 years of pandemic to our convention home. Everyone enjoyed having Becky back in the Tennessee fold. Thank you to Becky for your inspiring words, deep dedication to DKG and serving as our Society rep June 2-4, 2022. Alpha Lambda Chapter showed up and out. 10 members in attendance. We were honored to have one of our Mary Jo Wilson receive the Order of Roses (DKG).
