DELTA KAPPA GAMMA SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL
RHO CHAPTER

Mission Statement
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional
and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

Rho Chapter was founded October 23, 1943 and serves Williamson County. Two public school districts – Franklin Special School District and Williamson County School System – along with several private schools serve students in Williamson County. Students in these schools are proud to be among those students with the highest academic achievement in the state of Tennessee.

Rho Chapter has 65 active members, 5 reserve members and 1 honorary member. The chapter actively supports educational initiatives that benefit students and teachers. For the past several years Rho Chapter has sponsored a Legislative Forum where educators have the opportunity to ask questions and share information with those legislators who represent Williamson County.

Rho Chapter provides memorial scholarships to students who are pursuing degrees in education. Recently, the Chapter has established guidelines to award memorial funds to members for professional development activities. These memorial funds have been established in honor of Margaret Farris, Arlene Peterson, and Marion Warren.

Rho Chapter continues to seek ways to help in promoting professional and personal growth for women educators and to be proactive in supporting excellence in education.
