Chapter Project of Work

The Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will help support the Mission Historical Museum which is an integral component of our community by becoming an organization member. The museum's mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and promote the history and cultural heritage of its local and environ communities. Its vision is to instill in the citizens of the upper valley area pride and appreciation for their history and culture.
Epsilon Upsilon will help by promoting special events at the museum and encouraging members to volunteer. We will also explore other opportunities to be of service.

Epsilon Upsilon will continue a scholarship to benefit a graduating high school senior girl who has enrolled in a university and declared a major in education.

Further, the chapter will offer a Recruitment Grant to a student at the University of Texas at Pan American. This year's grant will be named in honor of Margaret Baltis.

The purposes of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International shall be:

I. To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship.

II. To honor women who have given or who evidence the potential for distinctive service in any field of education.

III. To advance the professional interest and position of women in education.

IV. To initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interest of education and of women educators.

V.  To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to non-member women educators.

VI. To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action.

VII. To inform the members of current economic, social, political, and educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world society.
