The Voices of Women Leaders

Program Summary:

Women-in-Leadership-Positions Panel will discuss attributes and skills they believe are essential for leadership roles held by women.

Program Facilitators:

Panel Moderator from Executive Board

Program Plan:

• Focus - List the 5 areas of professionalism on index cards to have on table for discussion
• Process Questions - Can you think of other areas that should be included in this list?
• Small Group Discussion threads - Have table groups determine a brief description of characteristics of women leaders

Purposes:

Society: To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education

To initiate, endorse and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interests of education and of women educators

Chapter: To define and honor leadership roles for women in our community

To promote growth of chapter members as leaders in our community

Additional Program Components:

Discussion will help members determine that we all share attributes of these leadership characteristics.
