Scholarship Application

Basic Requirements for the Scholarship Awards:

The Applicant must:

1. Be a member in good standing and must have held membership for at least three years.
2. Meet reasonable standards of health, scholarship, professional service and evidence of potential for future service.
3. Show promise of distinction in her respective field of study.
4. Be engaged in graduate work leading to an advanced degree or a special certification at an accredited institution of higher learning (all advanced degrees will be considered with equal weighting).

Importance is attached to the contribution of the applicant to the Society and to education. Importance is attached to the project on which the applicant wishes to work - its significance, and the evidence of the applicant's ability to pursue it. The recipient is expected to remain a member in good standing for at least three years following the completion of her proposed program.

Criteria for Acceptance:

1. Credential submitted (Is the application complete? Are all requested materials enclosed?)
2. Evidence of acceptance into an advanced program.
3. Evidence of involvement and service to The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
4. Evidence of leadership and professional promise.
