September 12th, 2019:  Potluck & Overview of DKG Resources, Grant Wood AEA, 4401 6th St. SW
Thursday, 5:00-7:00-6:30 p.m.
Fellowship –We will enjoy a meal together and learn about all the resources and benefits located on the International and State websites (as well as our Theta website). We will have laptops available so members will be able to log on to DKG international.

October 10th, 2019:   Avoiding Scams, Ladd Library Community Room, 3750 Williams Blvd SW      Thursday, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Supporting Growth and Learning in the Community - Learn about the most recent and widespread scams from a member of the Better Business Bureau: what to do if you think you might have encountered a scam and how to avoid becoming a victim.

October 10th, 2019: Open Minds, Open Doors Conference at Coe College
Volunteers are needed to help with this conference which promotes interest in STEM careers with middle school girls. Contact Ann Nicholson for details at 319-364-2869.

October 20, 2019: Safe Halloween at Users Ferry Historical Village    
Sunday, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Join the fun and promote DKG through this annual service event for Theta Chapter.  Meet at the old school house in Ushers Ferry (5925 Seminole Valley Tr. NE) and help pass out treats. Contact Betty Stewart for details at 319-393-2554.

November 14th, 2019: Honor Flights, Linn Area Credit Union, 3700 Edgewood Rd SW
Thursday, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Supporting Growth and Learning in the Community - The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for al their sacrifices.  Learn about Eastern Iowa Honor Flights and the volunteers who lead the program. We will also have a Paneras fundraiser from 4:00-8:00

March 12th, 2020: Computer Science for all Students K-12, Geonetric Building, 415 12th Ave SE
Thursday, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Learning and Leading - Samantha Dahlby works at the New Bohemian Innovation Collaboration (NewBoCo) a non-profit in Cedar Rapids, as the Director of K-12 Education. Samantha runs the Code.org computer science professional learning program for teachers in Iowa. She will share how schools and districts can learn more about providing quality computer science curriculum (free) for all students.
