Membership in The Delta Kappa Gamma Society
International shall be by invitation.
Members initiated into the Society become members of
chapters, state organizations, and the international Society.
Classification:
- Active
members shall be women who are employed in educational work at
the time of their election and have had three or more years of
experience as professional educators or have been retired from
an educational position no more than two years. They shall participate
in the activities of the Society.
- Reserve
membership shall be granted only to those who are unable to
participate fully in the activities of the chapter because of
physical disability and/or geographic location.
Reserve status shall be granted by a majority vote of
the chapter. A
reserve member, so requesting, may be restored to active
membership by a majority vote of the chapter.

Honorary
members shall be women not eligible for active membership who
have rendered notable service to education or to women and are
elected to honorary membership in recognition of such service.
They shall be privileged to participate in all
activities except that of holding office.
