2016 District 1 Coordinator Report
District 1 has been busy getting ready to host the Alpha Rho State Conference at Pendleton.
Iota Chapter's, Karen Shelton, has been invited to participate at the International Level with recruitment of young teachers. She, along with other team members, will be presenting what she has learned at the International Convention in Nashville.
Iota Chapter has changed its focus to preschool scholarships, rather than to high school graduates. They have given scholarships to two preschools in their area and made book bags with a book inside to hand out to disadvantaged preschool children in the area.
Zeta Chapter has made a quilt which they are raffling off to raise money for a scholarship to a junior or senior woman, majoring in education at Eastern Oregon University. The quilt will be at the conference.
