Happy Holiday Time Everyone!

I hope that this newsletter finds you happy and looking forward to the holiday season. Knowing that this time of year is often filled with busy schedules, our chapter opts to have a meeting in late January, as opposed to having one in December. That's one less item to place on your December calendar!!

There are a number of exciting events creeping our way once the New Year arrives. The first event is our Chapter meeting which is scheduled for January 23rd. The Personal Growth Committee is in charge of planning our program for this meeting. The second is the District I meeting which will be held in Panama City Beach. Attached you'll find the registration form for this meeting. Please note that the deadline for registration is January 2nd. Missy, Rhonda, and I plan to attend the meeting and make a "rocket run" in one day. If you'd like to join us, or caravan with us, we'd be happy to have company! The third meeting referenced in this newsletter, is our annual Legislative Day meeting. The meeting is scheduled for February 27th and will be held in the brand spankin' new McGuire Center at Westminster Oaks. Please mark your calendars for these events!

As you can see, we have a number of fun events headed our way! As your chapter president it is my job to keep you informed and to move our chapter forward in Spirit and Vision. It's also important for me to reflect on the issues that keep our chapter alive and involved. As I was lamenting over the fact that we had not initiated a new member this year, Rhonda Work informed me that our chapter did not lose one member over the past year. I can't tell you how great that news made me feel! I thank each of you for your commitment to our chapter and our association. We are key women educators who make a difference individually and as a group. I sincerely appreciate each of you and look forward to a new year together.

Smiles,
Janice

--------------------- Looking Back...

The Joint Initiation Ceremony was well attended and ran without a glitch. The Mu State President and District Director were both in attendance which made the event that much more special!

Rhonda reports that, as our chapter treasurer, she met her deadline for submitting dues to national! Thanks to all for your speedy payments!

Looking Ahead…

The Personal Growth Committee will provide the program for our next meeting.

Although the Joint Initiation Ceremony was held, it is never too late to submit recommendations for membership. Each chapter can hold independent initiation ceremonies if they so choose.

The Big Bend Coordinating Council for organizing such a nice Joint Initiation event.

Connie Lewis for re-registering our website and making continual updates, as needed.

Each of you for recognizing our deadline for submitting chapter dues. You make Rhonda's job as treasurer so much easier when you meet deadlines!
