July 4, 2011 - Newsletter #6

Dear Fellow Educators,

I hope that you are having a relaxing summer that is filled with fun, travel and learning. I can't wait for us to get together to share on Monday August 18th at 11:30 A.M. at Old Town Café on Timberlane Road. This meeting you will be given a list of 10 items to buy (or to donate $10.00 ) for the teachers' totes that will again be crocheted by Gale Workman's guild.

Next year's schedule will be handed out at the luncheon, we will formulate ideas for adding new members. pass out the complete list for fillers for the totes, compile a list of suggestions of things we regret not doing as a new teacher and to discuss the dues for this coming year.

Our June birthday wishes go to Paulette Mainwood (6/11) and Judy O'Steen (6/22). For July there are four celebrating ladies: Joy Moore (7/12), Linda Rogers (7/19), Vicki Rhodes (7/20), and Theresa Horn (7/21).

Please keep Melanie Jensen and her husband Chris in the drowning death of her sister-in-law Cheryl. In the recent storm/tornado that hit Tallahassee, Vicki Rhodes was fortunate that the HUGE oak tree that fell near her home just missed her house. We were also fortunate that a neighbor's tree wiped out our back fence, garden and some of our gazebo, but missed our house by a few feet.

I am looking forward to seeing you on July 18th.

Missy
