Dear Members,

Can't you just imagine the smell of fresh baked goods in the Riversink Elementary School Cafetorium! I certainly look forward to the upcoming Joint Initiation Ceremony when we can gather together in Wakulla County's newest elementary school to meet our prospective initiates and listen to Kay Collins share her educational wisdom.

A number of Alpha Kappa chapter members have already registered to attend the Joint Initiation Ceremony. If you would like to attend the ceremony please don't forget to complete the registration form and send it, along with $5, to Rhonda Work. You'll find a copy of the form with this newsletter. Jacque Clemens and Delores Hudson will escort Alpha Kappa's prospective initiates to Riversink Elementary where we look forward to meeting them!

Thinking of Rhonda…I have to say thank you, thank you, thank you for all she does to assist our chapter. Just when I think I've forgotten a "tidbit" she quietly surfaces to say, "I did that." She was so gracious to set up installment payment plans for our annual dues and order initiation packets for our prospective initiates. What would we do without her!?! The next time you see Rhonda give her a gigantic hug. And don't forget to send in your annual dues so that she can meet her treasurer's deadline!

Smiles,
Janice

Looking Back...

Our October meeting was held at the home of Cecelia Hack. Following our brief meeting attendees engaged in Fall Friendship! As members sat in a circle we each took time to share information about ourselves. It was so much fun getting to know each other. Who would have ever guessed that Cecelia once hosted a television program, Connie Lewis was a physical education teacher prior to becoming a technology specialist, Joy Moore's son is considering teaching as his profession, or being a teacher at Florida High offered Judy O'Steen the opportunity to travel extensively? There was unanimous agreement that we need to make a habit of sharing information about ourselves at each meeting.

Looking Ahead…

November 9th - Joint Initiation Ceremony
January 19, 2009 - Chapter Meeting at the home of Connie Lewis
Personal Growth Committee will organize the program
February 7, 2009 - Legislative Day, Westminster Oaks
