Topic: The Whole Child Project, Dr. E. C. Burton, Presenting Last names beginning with the letters M through Z will be responsible for bringing various salads for dinner. Dear Members,This is the time of year when we gather with friends and family to reflect on memories from the past year and discuss prospects for the coming year. As you reflect I hope that you are able to remember more good than bad and that you are as thankful as I am to have so many wonderful friends in our Alpha Kappa Chapter. As we look forward to the New Year I truly hope that the following Irish Blessing holds true for you! May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. Kay Collins delivered an inspirational speech that made each of us think about how we reach out and touch our students. Gwendolyn Dixon is our chapter's newest initiate. Gwendolyn, along with a number of chapter members, gathered at Riversink Elementary School for the Joint Initiation Ceremony. Gwendolyn is an Associate Professor of Elementary/Early Childhood at Florida A&M University. Welcome Gwendolyn! Looking Ahead… ![]() Legislative Day is scheduled for February 7th.
