Community Transitional School Tour
How will I get to school? Will I be able to stay in my school? How will I make friends when I have no home? How will we eat? My clothes are old and dirty, will other kids make fun of me?
These and many more questions are some of the worries young people have as a result of homelessness. To ease these worries, the Community Transitional School was begun. It serves K - 8th grades. Bus service is provided for all children and restructured daily to accommodate frequent moves. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day and a clothes closet is available.
To learn more, join us for a tour on Friday, May 3, 2013, 2:00 PM, at the DKG State Convention. Sign up on the convention registration form and pay your $5.00 when you register. Transportation will be decided once we have an accurate count of how many will be taking the tour. |
