The By-Laws and Standing Rules Committee reviews, analyzes, and updates AKS By-Laws and Standing Rules. The most recent revisions were approved at the Spring Convention in 2011.

Communications

The Communications Committee is charged with expanding the role and increasing the amount of publicity about AKS at both the state and chapter levels. The committee aims to extend CT residents’ awareness of the work of DKG and AKS through an increased number of articles regarding AKS projects and programs in local and regional newspapers. The Keynote editor, the webmaster, and the AKS photographer complete the Communications Committee.

The goal of the Membership Committee is to identify, invite, and initiate new members into AKS. The committee tracks and documents members’ involvement in various activities and celebrates members’ accomplishments.

In odd-numbered years the Nominations Committee prepares the slate consisting of one nominee for each elective position, presents the names to the Executive Board for approval, and conducts the election at the AKS Spring Convention.  Additionally, the committee reviews and revises the Recommendations for Nominations form each biennium
