Our small state was highly visible with 3 workshop presentations: Ellen Festi--Creative Assessment Alternatives: Cartoons & Comics;
Sandra Petrucelli-Carbone--along with members of the International Educators Award Committee, and the author of Raising Henry, this year's book selection; and members of the Curriculum of Hope Committee--Anita Satriano, Patricia O'Connell Buckley, Carol Kraus, and Ann Cavanaugh Grosjean, who presented a Global Peace Roundtable workshop attended by ten member countries. In addition, Anita Satriano, Chair of the Curriculum of Hope Committee, was the speaker at the European Region breakfast.
Members of the Ad Hoc Non Dues Revenue Committee worked diligently and long hours to make and sell notecards to benefit Alpha Kappa State's Available Fund. In addition, other members attending the convention volunteered their assistance.
We were also extremely pleased to have Geraldine Johnson, a 60-year Beta Chapter member, honorerd as a DKG Icon Woman by International President Dr. Lyn Schmid in her acceptance speech at the President's banquet.
Thank you to all members who represented Alpha Kappa State Connecticut!
