The Keynote is the Alpha Kappa State newsletter, and it is published 4 times a year. It includes information on state activities and initiatives as well as news from individual chapters. Items to submit for publication may include such topics as news of chapter meetings, programs, projects, etc.; the accomplishments of chapter members; names of new initiates; information regarding the passing of members; and /or pictures of chapter and state events. All news for the Keynote should be sent to Editor Carol Beam at d.w.beam@snet.net.
The Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World Newsletter is published quarterly by the Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World Committee. Founded by long-time DKG Member Jeanne Morascini, the mission of this committee is to study and promote critical thinking, conflict resolution, and cooperative learning skills that will help us move toward a more peaceful world. In addition to the newsletter, the committee discusses peace issues; presents workshops and exhibits at Delta Kappa Gamma Chapter meetings and State, Regional and International Conferences and Conventions; develops peaceĀ programs for children and adults; and promulgates peacemaking resources.
Get Connected is published every two months by International and offers tips for increasing chapter memberships. Get Connected highlights interesting programs of different state organizations as well as individual chapter projects and initiatives that are making a difference.
As the SAP Rises are bi-monthly tips initiated by Dr. Jensi Souders, International President, and other members of the Administrative Board since 2011 provide tips for state organizations and chapters as they begin or continue their strategic planning. State organization representatives participated in Pre-Conference sessions at the 2011 regional conferences. Many others attended and participated in a Strategic Planning Workshop for Chapters. Some state organizations and chapters are well on their way and others may be beginning the process. Let us know if the bi-monthly Tips are helpful.
