Newsletters ...
Deadlines for submissions to The Hoosier Newsette are due to the editor one month prior to publication dates, or specifically Feb. 1, May 1, Aug. 1, and Nov. 1. Issues come out in March, June, September, and December. Address changes are very important, as the post office is not required to deliver mail to incorrect addresses. When the newsletter is returned as un-deliverable, your state organization must pay additional postage. Please routinely notify International headquarters about any member's change of address. Notify the editor as well.

Chapter Newsletters:
Chapter newsletter editors must read and conform to the article on Page 7 of the recent DKG News. Please please please! Ignorance will be no excuse! You must NOT use materials, artwork, or photos picked from the internet. You will be caught and charged! Because of these concerns, newsletters with artwork or photos not identified to the webmaster have been unlinked. As editors send future issues, you will be asked to identify your artwork and photos unless this is mentioned within the issue.
Is your chapter following the Standards for using Society logos and graphics? This is a legal copyright issue!

Congratulations to the Five-Star Newsletter Award Chapters!
To receive the Five-Star Newsletter Award, a chapter must produce a newsletter that meets established guidelines for format and content at least five times each year.
The complete requirements for both format and content can be found in the Guidelines but include points for overall attractiveness, readability, and inclusion of specific pieces of information in the masthead, as well as content, including not only dates and deadlines specific to the chapter and state organization, but news of individual members, descriptions of chapter projects, the DKG Mission Statement, articles that help members apply the Seven Principles to their work, etc.
Be sure you are in compliance with the above information regarding Standards for using Society logos and graphics.
